Frequently Asked Questions

Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) provides early support to young children with developmental delays or disabilities, helping build essential skills during the most important stages of growth.

Early Childhood Intervention supports children and their families through the NDIS Early Childhood Approach. Children younger than 6 years with a developmental delay and children younger than 9 years with a disability are eligible for support. Children younger than 6 do not need a formal diagnosis to receive support if there are concerns about their development. The Early Childhood Approach is family-centred and strengths-based, helping children and their families access the right supports to promote growth, learning, and inclusion in everyday life.

ECI provides therapy, family guidance, social participation, and skill-building supports. All supports are tailored to your child and designed to fit your family’s daily life.

Our approach is built around families and their strengths. We know that you, as parents and carers, know your child best, and we work with you to understand what your child can do and how to support their growth. We recognise that the early years are vital for learning and development. By partnering with families early, we help children build strong foundations and give families the tools and support they need to help their child thrive.
