Meet the Founder
Nike is originally from Nigeria in West Africa and has a passion for working with vulnerable people. In Nigeria, she worked in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with a focus on capacity building, working within the impoverished communities to stimulate hope.
The formation of Senami was driven by ensuring that there is a voice for lived experience in the sector: female-dominated and CALD. Nike has a strong sense of human rights value and takes any opportunity to support people with disabilities like herself.
The name Senami means ‘A Gift from God’ in Nike’s Nigerian Egun language. Nike chose this name because she firmly believes all people have a gift, and they are gifted to us from God. With this background and culture, Senami was formed to care for people.

Our NDIS and in-home support services have made a real difference in the life of one of our younger clients, helping him enjoy everyday activities like community participation, reading, dancing, and companionship in a safe and supported environment. With the help of our dedicated team providing personalised care, he is now able to engage in the things he loves with confidence and joy. It’s all part of our commitment to helping clients live more independently and happily.

Our in-home support services have helped our Mr. F feel more connected and confident by participating in community events and social activities. With the reassurance of a safe and caring environment, he has been able to build relationships, try new experiences, and truly enjoy life. Our dedicated team is proud to have supported his journey toward greater independence and wellbeing. Recently, Mr. F celebrated his birthday recently and was surrounded by new friends along the way at his party organised by his Senami team. Through our in-home support services, our very sociable Mr. F have gained greater independence and confidence in his daily life building new friendship along the way. With tailored support, including assistance with wound management regime he has been living in the community with nil hospitalisation and better skin integrity that has promoted self-confidence

Mr K now have stability and feels secured at home with consistency of staffing, he has been able to put a name to his team, connect with them through mutual respect and understanding. He feels confident playing golf and visiting his favourite places in Adelaide Hills to feel at peace. He has trial new things, expanded his community program, learn things about himself through self-awareness and knows where to enjoy the best coffee in the Hills. With tailored support in line with his skills, he has found a routine and has been able to attend regular basketball games—something he is deeply passionate about and uses this medium to connect with his family in a fun environment. Consistency of support has not only improved his physical wellbeing but also enhanced his social connections and overall happiness.
