Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist individuals living with disabilities in achieving greater independence, inclusion, and quality of life. The successful candidate will provide person-centered care and practical support tailored to each client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily living assistance including personal care, hygiene, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with mobility and safe transfers
Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required
Administer medication in accordance with care plans (if qualified)
Support community participation such as appointments, social activities, and outings
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Follow individualized support plans and behavioral strategies
Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times
Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field (preferred)
Previous experience in disability or community care (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
First Aid & CPR certification
Valid driver’s license (if transport support required)
Clear background / police check
